The Nature of the Beast and IWRY Oct. 31st, 2013 @ 04:54 pm
Hi Everyone

I’ve been hiding under a rock, I know, so I hope someone is still there... *Waves to everyone listening*

You might have seen on the IWRY LJ that Dark Star has dragged me out from under said rock to host the 2013 IWRY Fic Marathon, so I hope to see you all there, at least.

As you know, IWRY is for standalone stories, so the real piece of news, for anyone who’s interested, is that Dark Star has been incredibly generous, and allowed me to use the event for the very final story in The Nature of the Beast series.

Yes, Schism is written and done, all 55,000 words of it, bringing our story cycle to a close. I hope you will all enjoy reading it as much as I enjoyed writing it. I’m remarkably sorry to have reached the end. There are so many untold stories in it, but then, there are so many other untold stories that I want to write, and I’m definitely not getting any younger!

Stop looking for a link for Schism! You know I can’t post it until it’s up at IWRY. And don’t ask me when it will be up there, because Dark Star hasn’t told me yet. You’ll just have to check in each day... Such a hardship, to read all those new stories.

I do have another, very short story that I’ve written for the event, and I hope you’ll enjoy that, too.

IWRY - Neckline Nov. 10th, 2011 @ 01:06 am
My main story (see last entry) for IWRY had to be brought forward a week, and this is the story that has now gone into my original date, 9th November.

It's Neckline, and I hope that you enjoy it. It's a look at their early relationship.

Neckline

And here's the site, in case you haven't caught up:

I Will Remember You Fiction

I hope I made a better job of the links than I did for 'Windows on the Soul!' I've changed those now.

I'm a good two days behind in my reading, though, so I need to catch up!

Enjoy!

IWRY Fic Marathon 2011 Nov. 3rd, 2011 @ 10:58 pm
Is it really a year since last I posted here? Well, a lot has happened since then.

But, the important thing today is that today is my day in the 2011 I Will Remember You Fic Marathon. My story is here:

Windows on the Soul

It's only Day 3, if you haven't caught up with IWRY so far, and the site is here, so check out the earlier stories, and keep on reading for the rest of the month:

I Will Remember You Marathon

This year has been a terrible year - after a severe and protracted illness, my mother died not long ago, and I'm still in the process of sorting out her house and such.... And I really don't want to talk about it just yet. So, I really am sorry for deserting everyone. I hope you'll understand.

I hope you enjoy the story.

I Will Remember You Fic Marathon Nov. 12th, 2010 @ 09:25 am
Goodness me, it's a whole year since I posted anything here. It's been a really trying year, and maybe I'll post something about that another time, but for now, it's all about the I Will Remember You Fic Marathon.

Today, the story is mine, and it's all about remembrance. It's here:

Remembrances of the Rose

If you've missed all the other stories so far, they're here:

Here we are in November - doesn't time fly!

And it's 18th November already, which is my day at IWRY. So, here we are, Four Re-ensoulments and a Funeral.

Enjoy.

IWRY

And so many thanks to Chrislee for hosting this wonderful event every year, and especially during this difficult time for her.

*Smooches* and chocolate to Chrislee.

» Nature of the Beast series
For anyone who has waited patiently, the next story in 'The Nature of the Beast' series is, well, finished.

'Hound of Heaven' will be up at The Angel Texts soon,

The Angel Texts

but I know the Lovely Chrislee is up to the eyebrows at the moment...

So, until it's up there, Angel Elders Mansion has it. You have to be a Group member to access the group, but joining's easy.

Go to Angel Elders Mansion

For anyone who already is a member, 'Hound of Heaven' is up there at

Hound of Heaven

Enjoy. I warn you, it's adult, and pretty dark. And I'm sorry it's taken so long.

There are many other things I want to write, including other Angel/Angelus series, and I seem to be incapable of writing other than at length, so I've cut short some of the storylines I was going to develop over the course of this second cycle, and 'Hound of Heaven' will be the penultimate story in the series. Watch out for 'Schism', which I promise won't take so long!

» Phantasmagoria - 'Angel' - 'Party', a rosebud fic
So, I was going to do a new story for that wonderful episode, 'Angel', for Phantasmagoria, but time has been against me... Maybe I'll get it done later.

Instead, here's an old one that I've dredged up, from 2005, written for the Blood Roses Forum. It's about the curse, which we first hear about in this episode, and whether we really understand it.

Hope you enjoyed it.

» Phantasmagoria - Angel - Angel's Tattoo, an Essay
So, it's Phantasmagoria time again. I'm hoping to have one or two pieces for this week's episode, which is 'Angel'. The first one is an essay on that wonderful tattoo. See what you think.

Any comments?

» Phantasmagoria - The Pack- short story
It's that time of the week again - a new episode for Phantasmagoria. This week, it's The Pack. As an episode, it isn't very Angel-ly, so we work with what we have... :~))

This is a little strange, but it's quite short, at about 2,000 words.

The PackCollapse )

Hope you enjoy it.

» Phantasmagoria - Flash Challenge - We Thirst At First
So, the Flash Challenge over at Phantasmagoria this week, is related to the episode, 'Never Kill A Boy On The First Date'. Our instructions? Use a line from Emily Dickinson in a drabble.

This isn't a drabble. I think I'm congenitally incapable of writing a drabble. But it's just under 400 words, which is pretty short...

We Thirst At FirstCollapse )

Hope you enjoy it
